| | HELLO from Burton on Trent UK Hi All, I'm Dodger (Roger) T2 since Dec 2007, although I had to finish work in April 2003 due to Autonomic Neuropathy (Pure Autonomic Failure).
I am married to Anne who really looks after me well, I have one son Gareth who is now 26 and doesn't live too far away from us.
Is there any one else on here from the Midlands UK?
Also would like to compare notes with anyone else that has Autonomic problems, mine include postural hypotension, ED, Heart 60 bpm at all times, breathing difficulties, Gastro problems and numbness in the feet and legs.
My last HbA1c was 5.8% March 2008.
Would like to hear from All, many thanks. |

Welcome to the forums, you've found a great place for information, I'm not from the UK, put just across the water in Ireland. As I recall there is at least one member for your area, I'm sure he'll pop up and say hi soon.
Visit & post often,

| | Thanks All, Hi All, many thanks for the great welcome, nice to meet you, the only thing I can say about the A1c is test test test, to see what affects the BG and take action cut out the foods that send the BG up.
As for the weight loss, as I cannot exercise it is all down to diet and Xenical (Orlistat) the weight loss now has slowed down dramatically but still trying for the target.
Being virtually housebound now the exercise thing is quite a problem, and with the autonomic side of things my heart rate cannot increase with exercise so doesn't work I think this is called exercise intolerence.
I was asking to see who in the Midlands was on here to see if we could all meet sometime, but it is also great to be able to communicate with the folk from around the world, so as I said great to meet you all. |

| | | Hi Deb, sorry to hear of the complications although mine are not diabetes related I can sympathise, have you had a tilt table test? do you have postural hypotension (low blood pressure)? these are a major factor with my condition.
Nice to hear from you, and hope to speak soon. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
