| | Newbie Hello everyone,
This is my first time on here and I think it's wonderful.
I wanted to share a little about myself and my diabetes. I was dinogosed about 3 years ago with type 2 diabetes. Likely, I have been able to control it by diet and exercise. My sugars are great during the day, however, the morning is always a challenge.
So, my dr put me on glubride 2.5 at bedtime with a snack (15 gram carb) about 4 months ago. Since then my sugars have been in range. I do not want to take glubribe, if I can somehow figure out how I could better my BS in the morning without meds??? More protien?? I am just frustrated because I went off my meds to see how my BS would do and they have been 133 for two days. Not good.... During the day my BS are 100 two hours after eating (that's a 35-40 carb meal). Sorry, I'm kinda long winded....

How's the diet, exercise, and weight control? Improving those are how you get off meds. Even then it is likely temporary. |

| | | Hi Jennifer,
Did your doctor do an HbA1c? If you're within normal range you may not need any medication at this time. BS of 100 after that many carbs is great!
