| | | Welcome sammy.
Glad you found us.
No need for DKA. It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to manage this. Are you working with a doctor? |

| | Hi Sammy, Welcome to DF! Glad you found us. Stick around, ask questions and tell us more about yourself. Assuming that you have Type 1 Diabetes: injecting a mix just twice a day seems a little inflexible for a 19 year old... I can only see that approach being successful if you do the same thing at the same time each day, eat the same meals every day, same activity etc... at 19 I'm sure you have more of a life than that

| | | Hey Sammy welcome to DF
The guys and gals here are great
Try to get hold of a book called "think like a pancreas" it's pretty helpfull also "using insulin" you can get them through amazon. All i'll say is test, test, test that's the only way you know whats happening.
take care and good luck

Welcome to the Diabetes club.
I couldn't help but notice that you seemed a bit despondant. So here is a hug (cue HUG), and I hope that things will become easier now you are on here. I wish I'd had the Forum when I was a teenager .
To repeat, welcome.
