| | | Buttons, I take Byetta, 5 mcg twice daily and have for the past year now. I had quite a bit of nausea the first 7-10 days after starting it, but its resolved now and i've had no problems, and good results.

| | | Before being diagnosed with diabetes, I noticed thinning of my usually thick hair. Once I started the metformin and the insulin resistance decreased, my hair density normalized. I didn't notice any side effects with the Byetta other than extreme nausea the first 7-10 days.
I have heard others mention thinning hair around the time of diagnosis, and i've read it can be a side effect of insulin resistance. Not heard of a correlation between it and Byetta though.
