Hello from Alabama!!

I am 28 yrs. old and was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes (about a year ago). My mother also has Type 2 diabetes. I have not done the best job of managing my diabetes and have not really taken it that seriously . My goal for the New Year is to learn more about this disease and do all I can to manage it.

Welcome to the forums! It's a great place for information and support.

What meds (if any) are you currently taking? What is your
A1C? Do you get regular exercise and watch your carbs? It's hard to re-learn the way you think about food and exercise. Many of us struggle with the same things. Good for you making your resolution to be more healthy. Hope you post often and ask lots of questions.
