Smile Hey from NC!

Hey all!

I am type-2. Diagnosed about 2000. It took me a lonnnnggggg time, but i finally came out of denial in 2006. I have been able to keep my levels somewhat stable but still too high.

This year, I am truly taking my diabetes seriously. So, along with regular visits to my doc (and actually taking his advice), I am looking for other avenues for information & support.

I'm looking forward to being part of your group - it seems like a good place to be. . .

Welcome GCM, glad you found the forums. It's a great place for information and support. Also glad you're getting things under control. You'll feel so much better as your numbers normalize.

Many people will try to tell you what you can’t eat with diabetes.
Most will be well-meaning.
Rather than compounding the problem by telling you what you should
eat, I’d recommend a simpler method, eat by your meter.
