Greetings from LADA land!

My big tip -- having just battled for dx -- is to get your C-peptide and GAD-65 antibodies run. ASAP. A declining C-peptide may be required for diagnosis ... and some meds may not be too good for beta cells, if you are a 1.5.

I also just read on another forum, insurance coverage may be better with an official Type 1, I suspect more strips and supplies?

Also, read articles on 1.5, at Pubmed.gov if you are so inclined.

There is a lot of info out there, but you kind of have to intuit your own situation sometimes, too.

According to Joslin's Diabetes, 2005 ed., 5 - 30% of those diagnosed as Type 2 actually have LADA.
