Hello, I am from Malaysia
Been reading the forum since June 09
after been dignose
Found the fellow forumer very helpful & informative
to newbie like me

DX May 09 A1C 8.2%
BP med - Olmetec 40mg daily
Atenolol 50mg
Niphedine 20mg
Started Metformin 850 twice a day + Januvia 100 daily
Weight 107kg

Sep 09 A1C 5.4%
BP med gradually reduced -- Olmetec 10mg daily
Metformin 850 twice daily
Januvia 100 daily
Weight 86kg

Oct 09 off BP medicinecomplete & monitor BP daily
normal rate till now
Metformin 500 twice daily
Januvia 50 Daily
Weight 81kg

Daily brisk walkingfor 60mins since May 09

Hello Sunny and welcome to DF. What part of Malaysia are your from? I was born in Johore Bahru - came out to Australia in 69. We lived in West Malaysia -Taipeng and Serumbang ( I am eurasian).
Malaysia is a very beautiful country and I do envy you living there.

I am living in Kuala Lumpur.
As you know weather over are hot
all year round but foods over here are heavenly.
That probably explain my body weight & consequences.
Try to get on with life
Will definitely visit this forum often though mostly
as passive reader.

calorie restriction
quinipril- 10 mg a day
metformin ER 500 a day
80 mg varapimil 3 x a day

my lipid profile is finally amazing.

A1C reading.
