Hello From Columbus Ohio

Hello all,

I have had type 2 from 2004, my future wife was with me when I was told by my doctor that I have it. It didn't bother me much because I had no idea what it was when he told me. I was pretty much told that I could not longer eat rice so that was that with rice oh well I can still eat other things

Hi Bud, I am a slightly more distant neighbor too. I do think you need a little more education, have you read much of the forum? How have your numbers been since you were diagnosed 5 years ago????

Many people will try to tell you what you can’t eat with diabetes.
Most will be well-meaning.
Rather than compounding the problem by telling you what you should
eat, I’d recommend a simpler method, eat by your meter.

Hello Amigo, glad you are here. Do you check your sugar level with a meter and do you take meds? I had your attitude until Aug but Im trying to squeeze out a little more time to enjoy my family. I hope you do too.
