SAN DIEGO - Women who develop diabetes during pregnancy give birth to healthier babies if they are aggressively treated, concludes a large new study that helps bolster the case for testing all pregnant women for this condition.

Please, DR's always think things are suppose to go by the books. I was told if I kept control of my sugars during pregnancy I would actually have a normal size baby. The DR's kept records of my perfect sugars throughout my pregnancy and the betting begun before I even had my epidural. My own DR who was delivering me waged a bet of 8 lbs 9oz. The c-section was done and out popped a 10 Lb 5 oz toddler girl. Oops I guess I showed them. The sad fact is 2 days before the c-section I had an ultrasound that weighed the baby in at 8 lbs. Hmmmmmmmm........
