Hi, new to the board...

Hi all,

Just found this board sort of randomly. I've been diabetic for about four years. I try mostly to control my BG via diet, but...not always successful.
I have a quick question. Often in the morning, I feel very nauseated, headaches and my stomach hurts. At first I thought it was because of high BG, but it immediately goes away if I eat something significant, not like a piece of fruit or something. I haven't experimented with juice because I'm afraid of juice.
Can food make symptoms of high BG also go away? Thanks. I look forward to increasing my knowledge about diabetes and lifestyle issues.

Food will not make High BG's go away. You will just feed the High. Now will food make Symptoms go away? Since the Symptoms for Highs and Lows are practically the same you really should be using a meter to check before treating with food or meds. Otherwise you or someone else will find yourself in trouble.

I'm with Harold. The symptoms you describe, when I have them mean that I have gone low and need to eat something.

By the way, Welcome!
