Byetta Woes

Post islet transplant I am on Byetta and omg its horrible! I'm puking everyday and its been two weeks since I started it. I am only on 5mg once a day. I know by now most ppl on Byetta are taking the highest dose 10mg 2x a day.

Has anyone else had issues with nausea and Byetta and how did you cope with it? I want my stomach back!

I am so sorry that you are feeling so badly taking the Byetta. I've heard, and read that the yucky stomach problems don't last forever. That doesn't seem like much consolation, I know! Hang in there! Nancy

last night was the first night I didn't have any nausea or vomiting from the byetta. I"m supposed to be taking it 2x a day so today is the first day of that. we'll see what happens. lol

I am sorry you are having problems with the byetta.
I have been on byetta for about 2 and 1/2 months now. Yes I am on the 10 mcg's 2x per day.
I had mild nausa the first week but nothing bad. I expected it to return when I increased my dosage but that did not happen.
My Dr had suggested that I take the injection just prior to eating, waiting no longer the 20 minutes to begin my meal.
