Hey everyone...
I really shouldnt be disapointed, but My A1C has gone up. I can honestly say that this was due to all the stress and sadness since my Dx of MS. My Endo was happy, but I was not satisfied. One thing is VERY true, My Hypos have gone away, so thats a real good thing.

Hey Cin,
Don't be so hard on yourself, 6.1 is a great A1C to have. I should get my first post dx A1C soon and if it's anything like 6.1 I'll be very happy with my control and won't change a thing. I would take 6.1 with fewer hypos any day over 5.5 while getting hypo very often.

Don't be too hard on yourself. 6.1 is awesome, especially based on all the stress you've been through recently...

Hey Cinnabon...........I know your frustration, but your A1c was terrific! My A1c has climbed since going on the pump. A year ago when I was using NPH and Novolog 70/30, my A1c was at 5.8 & 6.0, but those numbers reflect all the lows that I had. I started pumping in mid-December and in February I was 6.2. I was 6.5 last month and very disappointed. I have to stop using the pump as a "crutch" to eat foods I normally wouldn't be eating if I were still on shots.

I wish it would have risen because of indulging, but its pure stress... I must relax.

Cinnabon,

As Corwin & Koblenz said, don't be so hard on yourself. You've been through a really tough time lately, so it's no wonder your levels may have been higher than what you're used to. Remember to try & take good care of you (I know, easier said...) and never give up hope.

Cin, with all you've been through that is an excellent A1C. You will get it back under control.

Dude! 6.1 is excellent! Anything from 5 to in the 6 range is amazing!!!!

If you are MDI and under a 6 then you're going to be brushing against lots of hypos. At least that is my experience.

Don't let pumpers who pull 5's all the time make you worry; I personally feel if you are 5 to 6 then you are in the right place.

:-) Cheer up! :-)

Cinnabon, 6.1 is great considering what you have been through. I'm glad your treatment isn't as hard as you worried about, it is about time you got a break.

Hey, 6.1 is awesome, especially considering the rough time you've been through. Keep up the good work & don't worry if your numbers are a little higher than normal - it's to be expected.

Even though you are not feeling wonderful about the 6.1--CONGRATULATIONS!! Many people would through their arms in the air and so what's the use and would be getting in the 9's. Stress plays havor with us. You are my example. Keep it up.
