Today is the three year anniversary of my diagnosis. What a life changing experience. I can only hope the years to follow go as well as the three that have just passed by. Diabetes sucks, but I'm confident that I'm a stronger person because of it.

I celebrated 3 years back in April, and you're right, it is a life changing experience! Just when you think you have things down to a science, things change.

It does suck, but look at it this way, if you have to have a chronic illness, this one isn't so bad you know? I am going on 30 years and have had some complications, but overall my life has been pretty 'normal'..well...in relation to the diabetes. ;)

Tyler, I wholeheartedly agree that we are stronger because of it. SO MANY people think that they are immortal (especially younger people). Diabetes makes us examine life more closely. At times, I will tell you that I am almost happy/proud to be a diabetic.
