Welcome aboard and sorry to see you diagnosed at such a young age, Heather.

There's no shortage of diabetics in this day and age, huh?:frown:

Hunnyheatha,

Welcome! I just joined up today. I am currently 26 but was diagnosed type 1 when I was 11. I've been reading through these forums most of the day. Seems like a lot of good advice and support. No one knows better than a diabetic how to answer your questions about diabetes. Even when it comes to doctors. The endocronoligist I see has me visit with his Nurse Practitioner quite often. She's a diabetic using a pump and I find it very easy to discuss issues with someone who has lived it as I have. You get more honest answers than with the science and medicine.

Keep with it. Seems like things are gettin better and better each day!

I was 10 when I developed it but like most guys, emotionally, I'll never progress beyond that of a seven year old. I have some idea of what you're going through, although it was a while back. At that age, I tried to ignore the disease and it didn't work.
