I had a very low blood sugar today, but Im ok. I noticed My Bs going up hours after (150) due to the MM's I had. I corrected and had dinner. My BS remained the same number, no matter what. Now, 6 hours later its still there. I have pulled out all my meters and even changed my sites twice..... What can this possible be????:egg:

As you well know, treating an insulin reaction can be a hard thing. Sometimes, I can take a small amount of sugar and it will drive my blood sugar sky high. Other times, I can eat what large amounts of sugar and stay low for a long time. Wish I knew the answer for you but I'm afraid to say I don't.

could be mistaken but doesn't your liver have a lot to do with going low then bouncing back

I had this feeling about my liver. Just didnt want to accept that it could be so "bouncy" for so many hours... (5-6 hours)

Argh :argh:, Cinn... how frustrating! Wish I could help explain things, but I have no clue why that happened :dontknow:. Probably just another perk of this disease

All in all, it could be worse. 150 isn't horrendous, but I know that you probably keep tighter control... hopefully, by now things have pretty much returned to normal.

hang in there

A low can trigger a liver dump which in turn causes insulin inhibition which might acount for the high. My liver dumps usually sort themselves out a couple of hours after eating though. Maybe after the next meal/bolus things will correct themseves again.

Could it be that chocolate is high fat and it was just coming to hit you?

That's what happens to me! I have to treat chocolate like greasy pizza!
