hey Charlie....
Do u know anyone who is diabetic and has a meter for blood glucose?
If you do, simply see if they can help you by testing you. I do recommend you visiting your doctor. If you cant wait, there is always the ER, they can draw some blood and will find why u are so thirsty and why your vision is so blurry. Keep us updated, if u can.....

all drugstores and discount stores have glucose meters for sale. You should see a doctor.

see your in the UK, you can always go to a Lloyds chemist and they do free blood glucose test on a meter, they could then tell you if the result warrents follow up with your GP.

You should see a doc, definitely, but try not to freak out too much in the meanwhile. Two days isn't that long and your thirst could be something entirely different like dehydration or being sick, getting a cold, etc. Let us know how it goes!

Do you have any other symtoms? Waking up in the middle of the night to urinate a lot? Craving sweets? Feeling really tired after you eat, to the point that you could take a two hour nap?

Good luck to you. Here's hoping it's NOT diabetes!

It's in your best interest to get checked out by an MD :nurse:. I think that's the only way you will know for sure. I certainly hope that it's not the BIG D , but if it is, you are more than welcome here :shakehand:... we'll help you if we can

Good luck to you charlie :) I hope you don't have diabetes, but you should certainly see your doctor and find out for sure one way or the other.

And no, your question was not a stupid one, not at all. At least you are doing something to find out and you are aware of your symptons. I hope it turns out well for you. Let us know eh :)
