What kind of ID tag do you carry?

I got mine through two days ago with all the engraving done on it.
I got it **Advertising Link Removed** for £33! it's a necklace tag with a 3D symbol (sorry i can't remember it's name) on it, in black and silver :)

Just wondered what id tags other people have? And has it ever saved you?

I've had the same plain stainless steel 'bracelette' style for the last nine years. I might need to get a new one though since the links in the chain are starting to open a bit and catch on clothing. :p

I love mine... but maybe that's just because I'm attached it at this point. It doesn't look out of place when I'm dressed up for a formal affair, just hanging around in sweats, or even in a bikini. I can't count the number of times I've had strangers, not knowing what it was, complement me on my bracelette and wonder where they could get one. (Sometimes people who know will spot it and ask what I'm allergic to). Luckily I've not had to make use of it yet.

And has it ever saved you?

1. I've got a medallion that goes on a chain. wore it a few times, but I hate wearing jewelry.

2. No. Having a pump is what "saves" me. If I was still on MDI, I'd probably be dead by now. (No joke, either)

I wear a stainless steel dog-tag I got at RIAT 2006. Cost me £5 for two, each with silencers. Has my name and 'Type 1 Diabetic' stamped into them. No Cadeuces though so I suppose there's debate at their effectiveness. Much cheaper than my old Medi-Tag which cost over £100.

Thanks for the link by the way Stu, those tags look very good and I'm seriously tempted to invest.

the one that i got, is black background and the symbol is silver and raised from the background, it's quite nice :)
They do up to 5 lines free engraving and free postage to the UK too!

i wonder if ambulance crews do actually look for them?

I wear a sport bracelet from ***Advertising link removed** I like their I'ds because no metal touches my skin and you can change the plate if your information changes. They are also custom engraved, reflective, washable. So that's my plug. ;) They also carry shoe tags and more traditional necklace/medalions. And they're inexpensive. $19.99 US.
