Hey, guys. My blood sugars were on the high side for awhile there after the car accident. Pre-meal they were normal but would spike like crazy post-meal. Anyway, the last few days they've returned to normal, actually better than normal. My blood sugars have been the most perfect they've ever been!
For example:

Today
9am FBG: 91 ate tuna on wheat bread and cottage cheese
11 am: 113

3 pm: 101

5pm: 89 ate 4 peorgies! that's 45 g carbs
Just now: 101 and feeling really low

Even though my sugars are good, I felt kinda low all day. Like a grouchy drunk. And I slept ALL day off and on. Just could not get up and move around.

Will this go away? Is it normal to be so tired? This has been for a few days. It's hard to function or get motivated to do anything.

Lex............this happens to me several times a month. Sometimes it's the heat & humidity, sometimes it's hormonal. Sometimes my food choices aren't the healthiest and my numbers are better. I can't figure it out! LOL

Hang in there!

Lex....I was like that all last week. I posted about it. This WILL pass. I was so drained. What I do is try to take some sort of power nap when I can. (15 minutes or so) If you work away from home this may not be possible, except for when you are on a break. I also find that if I drink plenty of water and hydrate myself, this will help me a lot....a whole lot. I really know what you are talking about. I was so grumpy:frown: and tired last week and I really don't know why...:dontknow: I couldn't stand being around myself...LOL....and I was looking at people like they were crazy when they said anything to me. I didn't even grace them with a reply. Now that was just down right evil of me....But I couldn't help it. I didn't even wan to talk to anyone on the phone. I just didn't even answer it. And guess what.....I even take Cymbalta!!! My husband said something to me that I suppose he thought was funny at the time and normally I would have too, but I told him..." Don't start with me....my Cymbalta has not kicked in for the day". Now was that ugly or what!!!! LOL!!!! ....and to boot....didn't bother to apologize for my behavior...Wow.....I had it bad....! LOL

I didn't even have the energy to workout. I just felt CRAPPY in general...it was a physical and a mental thing.....!!! I finally began to feel better on Friday around 7:00 p.m. So for the rest of the weekend, I just kind of took it easy and did only the things I wanted to do!!! Nothing more, nothing less.:dancing: :dancing:

I don't know why I get in a "Blue Funk" mood, but it seems to happen at least every six weeks or so.....I get so frustrated when this happens. I just thought I'd let you know, don't feel as if you're alone in this area....that kind of feeling sucks.....especially when your glucose levels are great and you cannot figure out what the problem is.....hang in there....

Thanks so much for sharing, guys. Nice to know I'm not alone! All I could was sleep and sleep and then I'd wake up so groggy and just want to sleep some more. I don't have to work and school doesn't start until the 28th. I can't work for a few more weeks because of the car accident. So it's not the most horrible thing as I do have the option of sleeping to no end!

I get the same, sometimes I can sleep 10 hours straight, I just can't keep my eyes open and am asleep and in a deep sleep by 9:30 at the latest some nights, then I can go the other way and not want to sleep until 1am and then awake again at 6am.

I have found that external factors can influence how I sleep. Your body will get used to the new regimes and it will improve (If it doesn't then feel free to shout at me next year sometime....ha ha)

Anyways enough I am really worn out and off to bed now

I get to feeling "low" sometimes, jittery, very sleepy (though I get very sleepy if I'm high too) but will test to sometimes find the low I'm expecting and sometimes find I'm at 110 or so.

My fatigue had waned some when my sugars started being in more control but now, even though I'm more in control my extreme fatigue is back and ramming me head on every day. I barely function some days - just getting out of bed is an effort and I remain that tired throughout the day.
