Found this story which made me laugh for a bit -

Giant bunny save owner in diabetic coma (http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/animals/newsid_3444000/3444111.stm)

I wish I had a pet like that, but don't you think if it's happened before the bloke should take better care of himself?

And it might be quibbling on semantics, but I always thought a diabetic coma was when your bg was too high...oh well, it's still a good story.

Somebody's been listening to the Beatles.
I don't know why so many people don't understand the difference between insulin shock and a coma, but there are a lot of people like that.
I try to take care of myself but I very seldom have symptoms of low blood sugar so it's not uncommon for me to pass out too. That's the reason I used to check my blood sugar so much. I still would if I could afford to.

I need a giant bunny. Heck even my husband won't wake up if I am low. I usually stumble down the stairs, eat something and drag myself back up to bed. He never moves!!! LOL. I am going bunny shopping today!

Nancy :stupid:

... animals can be quite perceptive about their owner's health :)

I'd rather have a cat or a dog. Wouldn't like to end up with little errr 'maltesers' all over the house... you know... ;)
