is there ANYTHING you don't like about your pumps? Anything you would change?

I'd love to hear a little more about their customer service - especially from any Canadian pumpers. It's my understanding that their sales are being transferred to Auto Control Medical up here - presently, they're a bit "in between" as far as sales reps in my province, which should soon be remedied. I don't know how much of a concern that is, though - can any Canadians comment on customer service for the Cozmore?

Customer Service: 1st encounter was very bad. I called to advise of a pump failure and the customer service agent advised that she could not talk to me if I had not received my official training. I reported her to customer liason; I think she got fired, or retrained. The customer liason then became my customer service point of contact and she absolutely rocked. She was excellent. And her replacement has also been excellent.

Pump product improvements:
-the backlite of the pump will only light if a specific menu navigation button is hit; I find that an aggrevation because the menu screen will prompt if any button is hit. The light will only light if the "down" button is selcected.
-the "PumpStopped" warning is too passive (i.e when stopping the pump to grab a shower). For some reason, I have frequently missed the alarm when the pump is stopped (although, I don't seem to miss ANY of the other alarms. The "pumpStopped" alarm, I have repeatedly missed, which has caused me some high BG's. The vibrate alarm is not a desired solution for every alarm for me.
-the background font used on some screens is too small for these eyes of mine.
-the CozManager software is a $200.00 waste of money. DON'T buy it.
I love the design; many people think it is a cellphone, so it seems to draw very little attention (conversely, people are very polite, and maybe they just don't say anything).
I have a solution for duck's sleeping problem (maybe!... ..it works for me).

I love my Cozmo. In the US the cozmanger software is included for free. At least it was when I bought mine in April. Every customer service encounter has been positive, resolving my problems.

I like the fact that there are free software upgrades.

I have a whole list of features I would like to see added, but only two real gripes:

1. I NEED to be able to set carb ratios by time of day, why can't I do this yet?

2. For the amount of memory my pump has, why can't the software put it in a useful format?

I bought the SiDiary software from Sinovo, along with the "driver" for the Cozmanager. The software and driver together costs 20 euros (about $25).

What you do is upload the history from your pump to the Cozmanager, then the SiDiary software reads the history from the Cozmanager file. The SiDiary software produces several reports, including graphs, containing information about your BGs, carbohydrates, basals, and boluses. It's not great, but it's a lot better than nothing.

I don't think the Abbott Copilot is ever coming back. They released a new program called Precision Link that reads BGs from all of their monitors (except the Cozmonitor), and produces graphs and reports. I don't think they're going to invest in any other software. Just my opinion.

Abbott reps have said they are working on a new copilot version- crappy precision link is just to tithe us over since it is taking so long.

I guess you would describe this solution as a simple belt. I used an old "...yea I know its ugly!... ..it was a gift fom my Aunt!! " mans' neck tie. I simply tie it around my waist like a loose belt. And then I clip the pump to the belt, using the existing pump clip. The wide flat surface of the tie, is ample for the clip to hang on to.
Since it is tied loose, there is enough slack to allow the pump to gently hang off the side of my hip. If I choose to lie on my stomach for sleep, the slack in the belt allows the pump to be moved so that I am not laying on the pump; the pump is laying on the bed right beside me. I know it is there, but I am not impacted by it.
I find this belt solution better than the quadtruple extra-extra large workshirt with pockets, which I would get XXXXX-big so that I would have the room in the garment to shift the pump (which I would put in the pocket), so that I was not laying on it, when I was sleeping on my stomach.
The belt option is workig for me. The cost was $0.00.

The number one reason I went with the Cozmo -- it's actually waterproof. I lead a very active lifestyle for a type 1.

As for customer service: I'm on my sixth pump in two years (mostly my fault from sailing with the pump duct-taped to my leg). A couple of cracked screens, a few times the water-proofing was "compromised".

Other than having to memorize the menus when I cracked the screen....it has been a great experience with the Cozmo. I'm pretty hard on things, and this pump is built quite well.

I asked my cozmo CDE about any PC software changes coming soon and it seems like the new copilet will be released with the upgrades in the pump!!!!sounds like the PC software will be very similar to the sidiary:marchmell

The new upgrade is supposed to happen this month, according to my Cozmo rep. :) The backlight thing will be one of the upgraded changes...
