Yesterday I went to see my GP for a checkup after 6 months with the big D. We reviewed my numbers, and he raised my Metformin ER from 500 am and 750 pm, to 750 twice a day.
Also, I asked for both an A1C and a C-Peptide test to be run. Today I went back and we reviewed the results . . .
The C-Peptide was 9.4. So now we know without a doubt that my type 2 is IR. My beta cells are still intact and spittin' out da' juice.
The A1C was . . . :hahaha: 5.7! Man, I am stoked! I thought it would be closer to 8.0.
All in all Doc is very pleased with my progress. I explained how much I have learned through this forum, and I guess it shows in the numbers.
