I just caught my tubing on a doorknob and it ripped the infusion set out of my body. I'm new to the pump. Shoudl I do a new infusion in the same spot, a different spot? After catching the tubing, I saw bubbles in the tube, does this mean that I got more insulin because of the stretched tubing or what? Any help in the next 25 minutes would be appreciated

I would not put the new set in the same spot, and I have never noticed getting more insulin in this situation.(believe me it happens more than you think) If it makes you feel better, do an extra fingerstick or two, just to be safe.
Take Care

the tubing can be damaged by stretching. replace tubing and set and place in a new spot. I too have caught mine on doorknobs and such. just yesterday, it got caught on a kitchen drawer knob, but didn't quite pull the set out. I must secure my tubing better, I must secure my tubing better, I must.... <g>

I seem to be doing ok now, but my BS could be a little off.

I agree with both Cyborg & parrotletzoo. I yanked my own set out the other day when I went to put my purse on my arm (the set was in my arm, but got yanked out at an angle). Luckily, I was able to reinsert near the original site, since I'd recently put it there. However, I had a needle set which made re-inserting it easier...

Human devin = new Human("Devin Horsman", male())
devin.setStressedOut("false");
devin.setInfusionSet("replace");
devin.setInfusionSite("new");

it looks like right now, I have been taking barely any insulin the last couple days.

If in doubt, change it all. It's less of a pain to use more supplies now than to deal with nonsense 1-3 hours from now when you actually are trying to do something.
I've caught myself a couple of times--never pulled a set out--but boy do those sometimes hurt.
