It appears that after about 11 months delay, the Cozmonitor addon glucometer is being approved. I just received my letter of query from Smith's Medical to confirm if I would like to receive one (..so I am making the gentle assumption that they have been approved).
And so, for my American brothers and sisters in this pumping / measuring adventure... ..how is it? I have read all the FAQs on the Cozmo site.
Will it all squeeze into the existing case / clip? Is it really as good as it seems? It would appear that one still needs at least a small carry pouch for for strips, lancing device, waste strips, etc.
User opinions welcomed :D

No need to make gentle assumptions :) ...the Cozmonitor IS here. I've been e-mailing back and forth with the product specialist for Cozmo at Smith's in Toronto as we're likely going to purchase a Cozmo for our son. She confirmed that the Cozmonitor just got approval here, and they were hoping to have them out to everyone by Thanksgiving (OUR Thanksgiving, not the US holiday!).

I can't help you on the user opinions, I'm afraid - but I've been doing all the research I can, and I've heard/read very few complaints. Most of the grumbling has been about the size it adds to the pump, and the fact that it isn't waterproof like the pump, so you have to take care to remove it before getting wet.

It will fit in the leather clips.

I can't decide if I like it yet or not. It is very convienant, and it's great because you have all your history right there, and it can do averages for any number of days and tells you how many times you are testing a day, which is nice.

But at the same time, it is annoying because the pump isn't waterproof with it and the pump is thicker with it.

It definitely adds bulk.

It's SO convenient to have the tester connected and have the record contained all in the pump and not have to enter anything.

I LOVE my Cozmore!

Yeah, it will loosen up a little though with wear.

I got my Cozmonitor portion on Monday. Haven't tried it out yet though. Hoping to sort through it and maybe use it this week-end. Its funny though how I was waiting and waiting for it to get approved and now that I finally got it its been sitting on my kitchen table for 3 days.

For those Canadian who haven't sent their letter back to get the monitor, make sure you do it soon. I'm pretty sure there was a deadline in order to get it for free. After that I think you have to pay for it.
