So here is my stupid question: Is the quick set supposed to click into place in the inserter before you press it to your skin to insert? When I looked at the directions it didn't really show if it is "locked" or held in place, and when I go to put it against my skin the infusion set kinda falls out. I tried calling the minimed help-line which had me on hold for over 1/2 hr...

Tap the needle guard smartly 2-3 times to seat the set in the inserter. Make sure it is "locked" in place. Then remove the paper and guard and cock the inserter.

I'm just curious: what time of the day did you call their hotline? I've called them dozens of times and have never waited more than a few minutes, at worst. Usually I get through within 30 seconds of hitting the option for support. A couple times, several years ago, when I called in the pre dawn hours, an operator took my number and I got a call back from a support person in less than 20 minutes.

It was 2 pm today, Sunday. I eventually hung up! They may have been short staffed since it is labor day weekend ? AND I figured out the inserter when a few hours later I got the no delivery alarm on the one I just inserted today (first time with quick set, to try to get away from the silhouettes - I am having no luck!!) This was my first no insulin delivery message, so I checked the reservoir that would let insulin out, so I figured it was the infusion set and changed it. Scary part was before I changed it I disconnected and primed a few times and then it was supposidly pumping insulin, however the steady climb of my bs to 400 let me know it was still not...

Yikes, being 400 is no fun!
Did my comments on how to secure the set in the inserter make sense for you?
