Wanted here if anyone has heard what are the New Features or if anyone has heard when a new model is comming.

How do you like the Software?

What sets are you using?

They are slightly behind schedule right now, but a new pump is suppose to be coming out in the next 6-12 months. Animas is hard to find info on because they keep their research and design area a top secret. Nothing leaks out of that place.

Some known info is Animas has closely been working with Debiotech working on a Nanopump. If you watch the little video here you can see how it works and it's all smaller than the size of a finger.

The pump they are creating is like the Omnipod, but since it uses a nanopump to infuse the insulin, the size can greatly be reduced. Then different size insulin cartridges can be attached depending on how much you need in a day or how often you want to change it. It will basically be a revolution in pump design when it comes out.


As for the software, never used it since it wasn't included in the IR 1200.

Sets, right now I'm back on long Comforts. But I have also used Insets. Ultimately, once I use up my current supply I'm thinking of trying the short comfots.

The software is lacking big time, IMO. The firmware in the pump could be better, more intelligent, but I guess it's pretty much equivalent to that of the other pumps.
