Sometimes I use the 23" tubing with the Unomedical Insets. Other times, for longer reaches, I use the 46" tubing. The problem is that the 46" is a bit too long and I end up having extra tubing.

Has anyone come up with a good way to deal with the extra tubing? Someone mentioned to me a clip that attached to the pump that was made for winding up extra tubing???

Unomedical makes a guard to wrap the extra tubing in. I usually opt for the longer tubing cause I like the leeway it provides. You can make a "loop" and tape it to protect the tubing from snagging, but there are other ways, as well.

Here's the Unomedical site for the Tubeguard (http://www.infusion-set.com/Default.asp?ID=119)

If you go to the Animas online store they sell the thing that attaches to the pump. Unfortunately, right now I can't get their website to work, so I can't post a link/picture of it.

I wrap the excess tubing around the pump clip. You could also roll it around your fingers and stuff the resulting coil into your pocket or down your pants.

23" Tubing. I leave the pump in my pocket and stuff part of the tubing under my belt/inside my shirt and the remainder of the tubing in my pocket with the pump. Works pretty well. I have a feeling any longer would be too much tubing for me.

I have used both the 23" and the 46". I also opted to stay with the shorter tubing as I usually just clip the tubing to my waistband. I also end up with extra tubing that way though. I have tried several things to hide it without much success. What finally worked best for me was to take the tubing and wind it around the entire pump after I clip it to my waistband.

I had both, but prefered the 23. Much less hassle, less insulin need too.

I like the 46 inch tubing usually, as it allows my pump to wander freely at night in bed, without usually tugging on my site.

The set I'm trying now (Contact Detach) has a 31" tube, and that seems to be an OK middle ground.

I think I'll check out the Animas and Unomedical products for spare tubing. I'll provide pix and feedback after I get them...

Animas does list something on their website. It's called an ezWrap kit and can be found under Accessories in their estore.
