I officially had my first bent cannula today. As soon as I put the new set it, I noticed the tape wasn't completely flush with my skin. I also noticed the center of the infusion set had a red circle, blood. I removed the set and sure enough the cannula was bent in half. First one in 7 months...

The worst are the ones that are "barely" bent. You get some, but not all of your insulin. Sometimes you'll keep bolusing and eventually all that built up insulin comes through the bent cannula--proceeding to drop your BGs faster than you could imagine.
I haven't had a bent canula in probably about 6 or 8 months. I hope I didn't just jinx myself for my next set change.

I haven't had one of those since I changed to the 6mm canula. Miserable. Hope you don't see another one for another seven months.

I currently use both the 9 mm and 6 mm, at least until the 9's are used up. It did, in fact, happen with a 9 mm Inset...
