A few days ago I had blood work done at work (every year my company does a blood screening program for 15$) so the nurse talked me into. My albumin level was slightly low. The range according to the lab should be 3.7-5.5. Mine was 3.6. I know this can signal the start of kidney or liver problems. My creatine and BUN were both in range. The nurse told me to tell my dr, but seemed unconcerned.....I found 2 old bloodworks done with in the last few years and my albumin level was 4.1 and 4.2. I am going to call my dr on Monday to see what he says, but I am kinda freaking out! I have had diabetes for 23 years and about 8 years ago I had the start of kidney problems, but the damage was reversed...has anyone had an off bloodtest, as I hope that is what happened with mine......

Your malbumin(uA) level is perfectly acceptable. Diabetic kidney progression is when you have too much mAlbumin coming out, not to little. uA levels are also effected by how much protien you eat. If you were fasting, this could explain why you had a slightly lower then average level. You should be glad with your results, not worried.
