If I took a perscription sleeping aid, say, Lunesta, will I not wake up if my blood sugar went low? I usually wake up when my bs hits around 33, but if i took sleeping pills, will I not?

I don't take Lunesta, but one or two times a week I take an OTC sleep aid. Two weeks ago I took one about an hour before bed. I tested at 179. Three hours later I woke up because I was sweating and knew I was low. I tested at 42. I treated the low and went back to sleep.

Ambien works great for me. It only has a small window to which help fall asleep. It doen't keep you asleep.

Had hypos on Nytol before. I woke up, though I found that the process of treating the low was a bit trickier because in addition to my usual hypo-induced ineptitude, I was really groggy from the tablets.
