Why is your insurance cancelled?

They can't do that, can they? When my daughter's exhusband decided to quit paying her insurance, and didn't tell her, they told her her insurance was cancelled. Found out they had to cover her for 30 days, and more because no one told her it wasn't being paid. Then they had to offer her cobra. You have to deal with so much, I am really sorry you got this too!

Sounds to me as if someone has made a major c*ck up.
How can the ins company tell you in writing you will have co pay and the Dr says you have no ins? wires are crossed somewhere. After all you have it in writing about the co pay so that's what counts.
Ring the ins company and get them to sort it out.

Ok, here is the deal. I have State insurance and they changed up all the rules. As a good AMERICAN, I bit every paper they requested and NEVER did them wrong. I always supplied them with everything they needed for this NOT to happen! Now, this is what I get!!!
They tell me I do not have the same medical ID and No plan. I must provide every visit and have the office and/or pharmacies fax the state to be able to be covered. WHAT A MISSION!!! I can not just refill my Rx and go pick up.... or go see the doctors!
I have a bit more than DIabetes~

That sounds miserable. I am sorry to hear what you are going through. One more thing to add to your frustration. Can't health care just be accessible?

Bureaucratic nonsense sucks, for sure! Sorry you are getting the runaround.

Cin, it sounds like they're feeding you a line. I would calmly ask for a supervisor and ask what the deal is. Ask her when they were going to notify you that your coverage had changed. Take care.

Oh Cin.....this is awful. I do not understand why people who need insurance need to battle for healthcare. I know I will end up in this position someday. My husband's company has changed plans so many times it scares me. I always freak out this time of year because the new "plans" come out for our decision making.
Something has to give. It really is starting to feel like a "natural selection" type of scenerio in this country. The healthy do fine, but lets get rid of the people that are costing us money. Scary thought.
Is it just me that feels this way? I am starting to think I am paranoid. :motz:

I am so sorry you have to go through this on top of everything else!
Insurance companies are horrible at times :(
I know when my mom had my son in FL, she was paying quite a bit per month and it barely covered a thing...
Praying things get sorted out for the best for you!

Not at all...... I feel this way all the time. They have NEVER asked me for proof of being diabetic, or for having MS!!

What a headache :argh:! I cant believe this~ that is SO ridiculous!
I wish I knew how to advise you but i have no clue on what can be done to fight this~ I would keep calling your insurance and see if you can get further explanation and ask them what you can do about this~ >
hang in there~ i am pulling for you :)

Sorry to hear that as well, I've noticed when you play by the rules you almost always get burnt by the system. Try Cobra or a local low cost health plan.

We in UK complain about our National Health Services but on reflection I think we are very lucky.
Hope you get it sorted soon Cinnabon.

Well...
It looks like some arrangements were made and my meds seem to be covered. I will let U know how the doctors go, as far as seeing them. It seems to be on an open status as to where I can see anyone. If this is true, I am going to see the Bascom Palmer exoerts for the eyes
http://www.bpei.med.miami.edu/site/about/about.asp as well as another Neuro... U will be informed!
