1.7 mmol/L = 30.6, 7 days ago at 02:45hrs. Still conscious. Remember seeing the numbers and thinking "Wow! I don't feel that low!! "

38. Conscious, no symptoms, rechecked 3x's because I didn't believe it. I had to force myself to eat the glucose, which may have been a symptom after all now that I think about it. I did not want to eat anything at all for any reason. My husband had to deal with my irrational self and get me to eat enough to actually do something.

29, conscience, woke up feeling fine, guessing it was from swim practice the previous day.

7 mg/dL for me. I was really sick at the time and they checked my blood sugar at a doctor's office so I guess that makes it official, it also took place before blood glucose monitors were available. I don't know if I was sick because my blood sugar was so low or if my blood sugar was low because I was sick.

Near zero for a couple of minutes. Other than that, I've been in the 20's and 30's a number of times during the past 28 years.

I woke up 37 last night... and boy did i feel it. I've been lower though... in the low 20's and still conscious. I don't know what my bg was the few times I passed out.

I was having tests done at the doctor's office - on an empty stomache (before I ate) and they said it was 53. An hour later it was 55. They made me eat and would not let me go anywhere till it got higher.

My lowest was 1.1mmols... was concious (just). Very aggressive, and though I was dying... :-(

It took hypogel x 3 (I am allergic, so makes me sick.) then the paramedics wanted me to go to hospital...

Several years ago when I had my very first 911 call at work, I remember being wheeled into the ER by the paramedics. I guess they had just taken my BG and it was 25, and that was after they had me hooked up to an IV and glucose. At the time I didn't think to ask if they checked it while I was unconscious. I imagine it had to be a single digit number, if I woke up after being treated at 25.

I have had so many numbers in the 20s and 30s (30s were very, very common on MDI) that those numbers don't seem shocking to me.

My lowest?? Not sure.
Paramedics tested me once at 17. I was unconscious.
Checked one morning and my monitor read "Low Glucose" so I know it was below 20, just not sure how much below. I was totally conscious for that one. Retested on same monitor and another one and got the same results. Didn't start feeling low until I sat down and started treating. Just felt "off" and as I was leaving for work at the time, I tested. I never walk out the door to drive my car without testing first.

Eri's lowest was 19...she was completely unconcious as well.
A few weeks ago Eri was 22 and had no symptoms whatsoever...just like she was 898 and was NOT in DKA at all. She's baffling the docs.

My lowest(and I only took it b/c I was shaking uncontrollably and had blurred vision...was 42, but I'm not T1 or T2)...they just say I'm hypoglycemic.

I found out that glucometers do not so well in really cold places. I was skiing and thought I should test as I had been skiing for a couple of hours down long steep runs, and having competitions as to how many turns you could do in a 1km stretch. (great cardio and leg burn stuff!!)
I was feeling good,( ie plenty of energy, thinking well, no cold sweats, no usual low symptoms) and was shocked to read a 1.6 or 29. I went inside the lodge, warmed up my glucometer and rechecked. I was fine at 6 or 106.
Lowest I have been in 2.2 ( or 40) while training in the pool. Managed to get enough gels into me, took a 10 minute stretch break and continued on.

I have to say this. Those of you who have never lost consciousness when low are the extremely lucky ones.:)
Regaining consciousness, in my experience, was he** !!! I felt as though I was dying and I was honestly scared that I was. I had absolutely no energy whatsoever. I actually felt as though I had been run over by a semi truck.:frown: Haven't had that happen in years and I hope that it never happens again.

My lowest actual reading was 1.2 mmol/l or 22 mg/dl, a few weeks after I was diagnosed. I was walking, talking, totally coherent, and felt perfectly fine. I've also gotten the "LO" reading several times in the past 15 years and felt fine ("LO" means below 1.1 mmol/l or 20 mg/dl).

However, no one ever tested me the times I've been unconscious, they just assumed I was low and treated (thankfully haven't had that happen in years), so I may have been lower and just don't know.

Oh dear. How did it feel to be near zero?

My lowest was in the low 20's. Conscious and feeling fine, didn't believe it.

Below 20. That's as low as the meter reads. I see that way more than I like. At least I used to.

21 for me, conscious, or at least that is what my meter read at the time. I think when I had taken a shot it had hit a vein and the insulin went to my system fast.

I have never gone unconscious.

I hit 57 on Sunday. The weird thing was I didn't feel as low as I have sometimes at 72.

Same here. It makes no sense to tempt fate. :) Nor to go anywhere without some form of glucose and a meter.

My lowest was low 20's. I had a low while I was sleeping. Usually, when I get low while sleeping, I wake up. One time, I didn't.

My wife, actually, noticed I was tossing and turning in bed and saying weird things (well, weirder than normal). She also noticed I was sweating. She knew the drill. She tried putting glucose, juice, and raisins in me. The only thing I remember is waking up to a huddle of strangers (the paramedics) over me, in my bedroom. My wife was behind them crying, with a red mark on her face. In her attempts to give me some carbs, I swatted at her and smacked her. I've never felt like a bigger jerk in my life.

I've made sure that I, at least, have a little higher bg before I go to bed.

The scary thing to me is, I travel sometimes, alone, and stay overnight in places. I don't want my wife and son to get the news that I didn't wake up from a low blood sugar. So, when I travel. I take a little less insulin, and I eat a little more. I don't care if I have to wake up on the hour to use the restroom.

My meter sayed low. I was told that it means it was under 20. The scary thing about it was that it was after crossing the finsh line at a mtn bike race.

ah, I felt like I was about to die any second, literally. I knew the paramedics were on the way, and SOMEHOW, I managed to inject glucagon even though my vision was nearly gone and I was shaking uncontrollably. I shudder to think what would have happened had I not managed to get that Glucagon injection. In my pre-pumping days I've had many other very serious, fast-onset hypos. I used to drop 100 mg/dl in 5 minutes. Life is so much better for me on a pump, because that doesn't happen to me any longer.

i have been below whatever the meter reads in hospital before, i waved the nurse over to say i didn't feel well and she ran to get me hypostop,

I'm not on meds for diabetes. I've caught mine at 49 a couple of time and all I felt was somewhat confused.

The other night I found myself at 39 in the middle of the night. I noticed I ate everything in the Fridge as well that night.

The lowest I have gone, my meter said "LO" I am not sure how low "LO" means on my meter, can't find anything other that the owners manual telling me to contact my DR if it reads "LO" I may be just missing it.

What meter? I think the Ultras read low below 20. Someone correct me if that's wrong.
