Hi Guys,

I feel really bad why I didn't see this site before. I was diagnosed as Type 2 on 26/04/2000. I did take it serious initially, but didn't take care of myself until my GP told me that, if I am not putting effort he is going to put me on insulin. I was smoking until Jan 13, 2006 and my eating habits were more than a normal person. After my visit to my GP last month, I have gone into a strict diet control and 4 kilometer walk every evening. My target is to reduce or stop any medication and in my next blood test to have a less than 7.0 HBA1c. I have started reading this forum. I strongly believe that I will get a lot of motivation and support.

Hello and welcome. It's not so bad being on insulin, if that is what it takes, then that's what you should do.
