My husband was diagnosed with type II diabetes about 5 days ago, and I'm here to learn more about diabetes and living with diabetes.

It's been pretty stressful and scary, but we're doing better. He's already cut his sugar count in half (YAY!) and together I think we can do even better. We just don't know much about it yet.

I'll probably be pretty quiet and "lurky" for a while -- I'm a bookworm by nature and will mostly just read what you all are saying and absorb everything I can.

Now I'm off to peruse more of the forum! Thank you just for being here; I think it's a great thing. :)

Thank you Karen. :) I meant his blood sugars though -- I don't even wanna say what he was averaging (it scares me to think about it!), but it's less than half of that now.
