Hello!

I was really disatisfied with the new G2 Sensor strips for my MediSense Precision meter. On the box, it says 'improved, requires 65% less blood'. Yeah right. In my case, takes 65% -m-o-r-e- . Blood slips. And I've tried everything, put more, put less, left my finger on the strip, etc, but always ended up with an error message at the end. Not very amusing, especially since I have to use 2 or 3 strips to (finally) have a reading. Goes without saying my fingers paid a heavy price too! In fact, because of this problem, I tested less and less...

I called customer support a while ago... they just told me I was doing it wrong. I couldn't argue with them. The main problem was *m*e*. OK. So I gave it another try.

It's no use! After years of on and off testing, have I become dumb or what? I called again this morning. And guess what? I'm not the only one who has that problem! :D

They will send me a brand new meter... which uses another kind of strips. Yay! I didn't even ask for a new meter. I just wanted to know if there was possibly another brand of strips I could use. Because testing with those new strips is getting ridiculous... and a very bloody matter, literally ;)

Sometimes it's worth it to complain...

Good for you, Marie! :D It's definitely true that sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the oil. I'm glad things worked out! :)

Its not just you, i had this same metre and strips right at the begining.... it was so useless. i was completely new to all things diabetic when i had this so i thought it was me. i took it to the doctor and she says she hates them too. the strips never ever worked and id get thru about 4 just to get one test result! I have a new metre now with much better strips and it almost always works first time. :)

When in Danger,
When in Doubt,
Run in Circles.
Scream and Shout.

Had a similar problems with a different brand meter--called up the Co. their Represetative walked me through the process and it was their meter that was messed up--coulda poured a litre of blood on, in and around it and you'd get ERR message--they sent me a new meter and and since it had been happening for several day, they sent a container of new strips too.

I like LifeScan:thumbsup:
