Hi Earl and Welcme,
Ask away, we like questions.
"Im I a Type 1 Diabetic now?" PRobably not and unless you have a c-peptide and GAD antibody test run we will never know. Just putting you on insulin does not make you a type 1. Uncontrolled type 2 warrents insulin use, and it's expected that all type 2's eventually will end up on insulin. At least that was mostly true before they empowered us with self management. Good Luck! Did they say the insulin was foreever or just untill you get back in contro and what meds have you been on. Sounds like you have some stories to tell us.

Don't worry if you post a question in the wrong place. One of the Mods will move it to the correct one.

Hey Troutman, welcome to the group. I am just up the road, over da bridge and through the real north woods from ya. I spent my younger years just south of Ludington though. Ask all of the questions that you want, there is a good group of people here and they aren't shy, you will get answers. So where does the troutman wet his line? I spend many of my days looking for that big ole brown in the Escanaba.
