Which model? I've had a number of the Compact and Compact Plus. they read too high. can result in taking too much insulin, but won't result in missing a true low. what sort of problem is she having with her meter?

I have an Advantage and I am not sure just how good they are... I know that I get different readings between my right hand and left hand which can be as much as 40 points. Doesn't happen all the time but too often. Also have been told of the recalls for pieces of plastic preventing the cap from sealing on the test strips and the powder that keeps moisture in check bring lose in the tube.

I have an Accu-Chek Complete, which uses the same strips as the Advantage and whenever I've compared it to lab results, it has always been within a few mg/dL of the lab results. So far, I don't believe it's ever missed by more than 3 mg/dL so I trust it and the Freestyle Flash very much (it is also within the same range).

I had an Accucheck Advantage and now have the Accucheck Aviva. Never had any problems with either and my results tie in well with the lab. results.

I have used the Accu Chek Advantage since 2001, no problems and it is usually inline with results at docotors office and when tested at home , within a point or two of my Ultra or Ultrasmart. I have an Aviva and it is in the same range when testing against my Ultras.
