"Apparantly there is another Glucopen, like a smaller dose, that you can give yourself during a 'bad' hypo. It's meant to be a milder dose, can't remember what it's called though."

Anyone know what the person was referring to?

I searched and searched and searched and found nothing. The ONLY useful and interesting thing I found was a neat tip. If a full glucagon shot is too much for a person, that they can substitue a standard insulin syringe. That gives a lesser amount and if 30 minutes later a substantial difference isn't noticed, that person can give another dose with the same mixed vial. Just a little tip there.

Thanks for checking into it, Jedi.

I've used partial doses myself. Worked fine.

I've seen the mini dose glucagon rescue idea for if you have the flu, but that's about it.

I guess if you only need mild glucagon I don't see the advantage over eating carbs.
