Why not set up a chat time to hash out some questions?
If we can't arrange a chat time, then we are doomed to arrange a get together properly.

I have my adoption class from 530 to 930 so I will have to skip this one.

We could save the chat and post it on the forum for everyone and/or arrange for a chat another day.

We don't NEED to make the arrangments right this minutes, so perhaps another day should be picked for the first of what is likely to be a SERIES of chats.

Comments, everyone. Should we postpone tonight's chat? if several say, so, I'll set up a poll for time date and we will go with that.

I say have numerous chats. I basically want the location finalized by the end of this year. That gives us just over 2 months, but remember, it's 2 months during holiday season, so less time for people to be on. Then once we have a location/hotels partially booked, we can decide on events and things to do.

Should we have an ajenda for the chat or is this just a brainstorm?

I think just a random tossing ideas out. We'll probably be somewhat organized. We can be totally organized if someone wants to take charge of it. But I'm all up for just picking a topic, throwing it out, seeing what others say, then I'll jot notes down on Word. Spike will be in charge of a complete transcript, I'll be in charge of notes.

I can't make it tonight...I'll be swimming. May I add my .02 now? If you have it in the NYC area I'd definitely come...or somewhere like Disney. I would love to suggest Tahoe in the spring because there is skiing and gambling. Sorry...Vegas doesn't appeal to me 'cause I'm not a gambler and would have to bring the kids. Not much to do for little kids in Vegas.

Lynne, neither my wife or I gamble much but we've spent 5 or 6 vacations in Vegas an always enjoy it. We go out to eat, people watch, lots of walks, hang out by the pools, kick back, do a LITTLE gambling (no more than $30 between the two of us per nite). If you have never been there, let me comment that it's more fun that I thought before my first trip there about 8 years ago. Now we go almost every year. Not sure that there's "nothing" for kids...

I've always wanted to go to Tahoe on vacation. I've always just passed through... :driver:

We went there a few years ago and it was fun, but I don't feel like I have to go back anytime soon. So many other things I'd like to do...go on a cruise, go to Disney, go skiing...go back to San Fran...again! But, most people do love Vegas!

It is so beautiful! We went to the south shore to ski and it was so much fun. I've heard the north shore it nicer but I didn't spend much time there. I'd love to go back. Nothing like skiing down a mountain w/a view of Lake Tahoe!

I go there often. GREAT place. Vegas has literally 100x more things to do there though.

Perhaps we can come up with more suggestions and revote before the final decision is made...

Just to let you know, hubby and I are trying to save $ so if going involves taking 4 people on a plane, we probably cannot come. However, if he agrees to watch the kids I'll be there!!!! Anyhow, let me know what you all decide. Then I can start working on him!:-

I might come and listen (read?) anyway... who knows, I might be able to save enough to come!!
