Okay...MINE is not going to be purple, but my loaner - which I just trained on and attached to me today - is PURPLE!!!
So far the saline seems to be coarsing through me as planned. I'm switching to insulin on Friday, and should have my black one soon thereafter.
Medtronic wanted to put me on insulin immediately, but I opted to learn the bells and whistles with the saline first. Seems pretty darn simple so far. Stay tuned!

You match my wife. Her's is purple, also. Have fun!

I really do not understand why you have a saline trial, we went straight to insulin. Can any one explain why the saline please?

Mine is purple, too, but that was on purpose! I don't even think it's really purple enough - it's very understated so I don't think you'll feel too strange in it. Good luck!

It's for practicing with the pump. You "shadow" your injections by pressing all the appropriate buttons to simulate boluses. It just gives one more incentive to become well familarized with the menus, as it seems more "real" when you are hooked up, even though it is just saline. It changes your mindset.

It's kinda dark, isn't it. :) That was my first thought when I saw my wife's purple 522. I like my blue one.

The purple is very dark - almost a black. Add the dark grey face plate, screen, and a clip to that and you don't see much purple.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I was afraid my wife was going to be disappointed in the color, but she's fine with it.

Thanks for that Spike, I guess it would be more important for someone who has been on injections for a long time.
