HI everyone. Please help. I had a physical done on Sept. 7th. My results showed a fasting glucose of 132, LDL of 163, triglycerides of 165 and HDL of 43. A few days later I flunked the FGT again! My doctor ran an A1C and it came back 6.4. Throughout the year, and up until that time I've been suffering extreme stress (panic attack in July) and depression. I've always been an anxious person. After the panic attack, I started eating dry sugar cereal, for comfort and nutrition!...sometimes going through one box per day. I was eating somewhat poorly and inconsistantly as well...and sometimes into the evening. Obviously since then I have completely changed my eating habits and started exercising again (I stopped going to the gym after my panic episode). I am 5'9" and at the time of my physical in September, I weighed 176. I'm now down to 150. Would anyone be so kind as to help me make sense of all this? Very much appreciated.

Welcome :wavey: Stress can and does affect your bs. I know it affects mine alot. On a bad day my bs can raise sky high. Can you try to control your stress? Hope so. Glad you joined us...

Welcome to the forums!

Can you give some more information? What is your age? Have you been checking your blood sugar? What did the doctor say about the results of your blood test? Did they actually diagnose you with diabetes? It sounds like they sent you away without any information.
