Righto, while all those lucky people are in Vegas (waaaaa!) we are gonna have our own M&G in Melbourne.

Katjack had this awesome suggestion, so heres the details... (thus far)


Whichever weekend Vegas is on, we will meet in Melbourne. Go to Crown, do a bit of Gambling ourselves, stay in a hotel, do some shopping... Have our own fun!!

Yep, everything is okay now.

Have a good DE - will be seeing her again on Dec 18th and Monash. They have a clinic for young adults with diabetes. Got some good education on diabetes too. Was told I'm type 1 and she explained i'm in the honeymoon stgae at the moment, and that could last weeks - months.

what else.......... my lantus has been increased from 2 - 3 units, no short acting insulin for now, not so affraid of insulin anymore - was worried I'd go low from the insulin. I'm better at giving the injections now, still nervous, but I know now that it's something I have to do.

Oh and when I see the DE again she said she'd set me up with a ketone monitor. You know, the ones that look like the blood glucose monitors.

Not happy with my endocrinologust though!! :mad:

You know that Diabetes Australia has a diabetes day and have a meet then too. I have been to the last one and it was big turnout too lots of people to meet and a good day to boot too.
