Ouch! Sorry to hear that. I know that my A1c is going to be high the next time I go in, since I've had infection after infection after all my surgeries. :( I can't seem to keep control right now. So, I commiserate!

Any idea why it keeps going up? Do you see your testing numbers going higher? Also, did he say why he wanted to see you again in 2 weeks? If it's to do another A1C then that won't have much of a change in that time. Just curious to why again in 2 weeks.

Well, I know that a large part of it going up is because of the stress I'm experiencing at work. I'm not going to get into it all because it is a novel, but trust me, it is justified. I have noticed that my numbers have been higher, but I didn't think that they had gone that high.
Not sure why he wants to see me again in two weeks, but I am guessing that he wants to talk about what has been such a drastic change in my life to make these go up that high again. He knows what is going on at work because he works with the center that I work in. But, I think he maybe wants to get a game plan to get these down quickly. But, I will find out for sure on the 13th what he wants for sure. I am also wondering if he wants to do a whole re-doing of the insulin dose settings in my pump. That could be, I guess. Here's hoping all will be well!

Sorry to hear that your A1c went up- I know no one likes to hear that. But, saying that, sometimes this is just what we need to hear- it serves as a good kick in the a$$ to get back on track. I hope it motivates you to do what you need to do to regain control.
Good luck~ we're pulling for ya ;)

Sorry to hear your numbers went up! That's a wake-up call to the group to keep vigilant about one's bg's. Like you said, stress can raise your bg's. Hope you get a better result next time, Laura. Pills are remarkably effective in fixing most cholesterol problems.

Sorry you had such a lousy Monday!! It will be interesting to see what happens in two weeks. As far as the cholesterol meds...they worked great for me after three months, and I go back next week.
Hang in there! If there was an icon for that, it would be right here!

My A1c has climbed over the last year since I started pumping. But in my case, I know what I'm doing wrong!
Hoping things get better for you soon!

Well, the thing that gets me is that I am taking all my meds like a very diligent and good diabetic, and it still gets me results like this. I hope he has some good ideas for me. I will keep you guys posted on what happens at the next appointment. Thanks bunches for the replies!
