As you can see I live in England and here were measure blood glucose readings in mmol/L but I believe in America and other countries it is measured in a different way in mg/dl.
As I read these posts while I am used to bg readings of 6.5 and 7 many other posts are quoting figures more like 170 or 130. Does anyone have a comparison table or conversion figure so I calculate one from another. I find this a bit confusing when trying to understand these posts.

You divide or multiply by 18 to convert back and forth. There is an online conversion calculatator here (http://www.diabetesforums.com/diabetes/7594-handy-unit-converters.html)...

Many thanks Cyborg for the info, it was very much appreciated, that is a very useful site and I now have it installed on my desktop. It is nice to know as a diabetic when help is needed there are always people such as yourself about who will help you out and that is proved with forums such as this.

I'm finding it a tad weird reading people measure 180! Sure i'll get used to it :)

When I first started here I felt the same! I'm getting used to it now, I don't even reach for the calculator much anymore.

It's a shame we don't all use the same numbers, though...
