I was told that we had not met our deductible so I would have to pay a pretty good chunk of green for a pump. Since hubby was hospitalized, we may have reached our family deductible. My question is this. If we have, will it help me with a pump? (ie: less out of pocket?)

If you act fast and get in on the current billing year, yes...

Cool. I'm gonna call insurance on Monday and see what they say. I hope so. I really need a change.

Yes, it will greatly help. The max out of poctet deductible I had on my insurance job when I got my IR 1200 was $500 per year. Geee, and they wander why so many complained when they took that away. Anyways....
The year I got that pump I had already paid about $200 out of pocket for the supplies on my previous pump. So, I ordered my pump right before the end of the year and only had to pay around $300 for it. Well, that was how it was suppose to be, but minor billing mistake so I maxed out my following year deductible instead and paid $0 for all supplies for that year.
That is one reason so many pumps are sold at the end of the year. It's because most people have their deductibles pretty high then and therefore they may hit the max. It's better to pay $1000 for a pump in December than $2000 in January and have the following year maxed out. That way you don't have as much to worry about at one time.
