This is going to sound stupid the way I say it but I used to get a staff infection on my legs below the kness anytime I even barely scrapped the skin.

I usually ended up on antibiotics for 10 days.

But I made two small changes to my lifestyle and I never get them anymore. 1. I drink water everyday. 2. I walk whenever
I can.

I guess I wasn't drinking enough water. Also, I noticed that when I walk, the bruises on my stomach (from the insulin shots) disappeared quicker.

If anyone else is suffering from the staff infections, try drinking more water and walking more.

Good Luck,
Michael

Michael,
The reason my doc decided to test me for diabetes is because I had boils in the same spot for over a year and nothing they did made them go away. They tried several antibiotics, etc, etc...so finally they lanced them and decided to check me then. I can tell when my bg's have been higher than usual because I get irritated in that same area where they were lanced and start having more skin irritations elosewhere too.........point I am finally getting to is although I don't know if mine were caused by staff, some boils are........
