Bruise by set

Ok
I got my first bruised set.
It left a nice red mark and brusie under the sticky.

I used to get bruises all the time from syringes/pen needles but have only had a couple from infusion sets. One time I think I hit a rib (with a Quick-Set) and I had a massive bruise, and the area was sore for days. Another time I had a bruise that was the exact shape & size of the adhesive pad. It was definitely a bruise, not a rash. I thought it was very odd.

I've had them too and some have been painful. I think they're caused by hitting a small blood vessel upon insertion.

I used to have little bruises all over my thighs and abdomen from MDI. When I first started injections they were terrible, but I got better at it and they weren't as big - but still always had some. Haven't had one from a st yet, but have only used ... 10 or so. My time's coming!
