Glucon Glucose Monitoring Watch - Gizmodo (http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/watches/glucon-glucose-monitoring-watch-033516.php)
Hi has anyone seen this before? Seems like a great idea to me.
I'm studying product design at uni and for my final year project I entertained the idea of something like this... I didn't realise it has already been done.

I haven't heard of this particular product, but I know the Glucowatch has been out for awhile now (it's a similar watch-like device). However, I don't think that it's widely used~ the results aren't predictable and I think it can cause skin irritation Plus, it's somewhat costly... I don't think it's worth it.

This one says it doesn't break the skin. Interesting...

It uses an interesting non-invasive technology :
Glucon uses Photoacoustics to map the influence of the glucose on the optical properties of the blood inside blood vessels.

I could be wrong but I heard that the company that makes GlucoWatch went bankrupt.
