is it "normal" or "common" or even usual for one to go from the high around 200 to low around 60, back straight up again to past 250? And this is in a matter of hours.
My BF quit his job, the emotional aspect of this is a bit much and he truly needed to just take time to get used to it. But hes had a few days, never in a row, but random days where he does this. Is this because his body is getting used to not as much activity or is it something im over reacting too??

u r not overreacting. i dont think that's either common or normal or usual, or unusual!
it does happen to me in a more extreme way (350 down to 40 back to 2ish). the 350 is from my insulin not circulating very well lately. i must change my injection point. the 40 is because of this insulin suddenly acting, and the 2ish from my eating to much when in hypo.

does ur BF do some extra injection when high? how much does he eat when low? when does it usually happens (day, night, after meal?)

Sooner or later, you'll see just about everything. Sometimes you'll know the reason, sometimes it's a mystery. Just adjust the best you can and move on with life.

It's not uncommon, but it is something to try to avoid, and the roller coaster ride is usually uncomfortable.
