So I was at the local drug store today, it was crowded,of course. In line in front of me is a group of four teenage boys, kinda rowdy, being loud and getting a lot of looks. Then one boy says "Wow! I just found a $20.00 bill in my pocket I didn't know I had." So his friends are all trying to get him to buy candy and such for them. Now they are holding up the line. Now, I was there to get the last stocking stuffer and I would be done shopping, so I am annoyed, I just want to be done. Lucky they open another register, I am next and I am outta there. Outside is a man collecting for Diabetes research, we get to talking about our meds & etc, and here come those boys from inside the store. The boy who found the $20.00 drops $10.00 in the box, shakes the mans hand and says "Thank you for taking the time to do this, I am Diabetic. I wish I knew his mom, she would be proud. He is a "sweet" Diabetic!

That's very touching. The kid probably really would've liked to have had some of that candy, too. He did the best thing.I hope that comes back to him,ten-fold.

Thanks for sharing this, JennL. I just read a post concerning horrible teens and this just proves there not all bad. Thank God, my baby turns 13 next month.

Jenn, that was truly heart warming. Thanks for sharing it with us. That young man's mother should be proud. I'm always proud when my daughter wants to do her part to help with diabetes research drives at school (I'm the D, she's not).
